The Malaysian non-food discount retailer MR.DIY has unveiled ambitious expansion plans for Poland and Central Europe, positioning the country as a key logistics and supply hub for its next phase of regional growth.

During 2025, MR.DIY opened four new stores in Warsaw, located in Galeria Wileńska, Blue City, Zielony Targówek retail park and Galeria Młociny. At the same time, Poland’s growing warehousing capacity will support the brand’s entry into Romania, Czechia and Hungary.

Poland becomes MR.DIY’s Central European supply backbone

Later this year, MR.DIY will launch a new logistics facility in Dąbrówka Wielka, near Łódź. From this location, goods will be distributed not only to the Polish market, but also to new Central European countries targeted in the company’s expansion roadmap.

The new facility will strengthen Poland’s role as a strategic logistics node, supporting MR.DIY’s rollout across the region.

Currently, the company operates a single distribution center in Poland, located in Hillwood Zgierz I logistics park, near the A2 motorway. MR.DIY opened its first Central European logistics hub there, initially occupying nearly 5,000 sqm, later expanding by an additional 7,000 sqm.

Four Warsaw openings mark a milestone

MR.DIY also made a debut in the capital in a retail park format, as the Zielony Targówek retail park, in particular, will allow the brand to operate closer to customers in a convenience-driven format.

Another Warsaw opening was in Galeria Wileńska, where MR.DIY occupies 1,072 sqm on level 1. Additional Warsaw locations include 599 sqm in Blue City, 894 sqm in Zielony Targówek, and 1,231 sqm in Galeria Młociny.

The expansion does not stop in the capital. MR.DIY is finalising talks for more Warsaw locations, while new stores are also planned in Toruń (the company’s largest Polish store, at 1,280 sqm), Opole, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Bytom. Existing Polish locations include Zabrze, Kraków, Piotrków Trybunalski and Bielsko-Biała.

Broad assortment, low-price strategy

MR.DIY operates a non-food discount model, offering products across 10 categories, including household items, décor, school and office supplies, DIY tools, automotive accessories, toys and pet products.

In addition to private-label items with a strong price–quality ratio, Polish stores also carry well-known international brands, positioned at competitive prices. Assortment is locally adapted based on ongoing consumer research.
