A Polish creator has turned a livestream stunt into one of the biggest charity fundraising events ever seen online. Łatwogang, known off-platform as Patryk Garkowski, ended a nine-day charity stream in Warsaw on April 26 with more than 250 million zloty, or about €58 million, raised for children supported by Cancer Fighters.
The campaign drew more than 1.5 million simultaneous viewers at its peak and was officially recognized by Guinness World Records. It also surpassed some of the best-known creator-led charity drives on record, including the streams associated with MrBeast and xQc, as well as France’s Z Event 2025.
A livestream with global reach
What began as a creator challenge quickly turned into a global fundraising moment. The stream attracted support not only from Polish fans, but also from well-known figures such as Chris Martin, Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski and Wojciech Szczęsny.
Big numbers, real-time pressure
The livestream was also a stress test for the crowdfunding platforms involved, zrzutka.pl and 4fund.com At one point, the campaign brought in more than 1 million zloty in less than 30 minutes, while the platform handled more than 17.7 million requests in just 40 minutes.
Simple idea, world record results
Łatwogang, 23, first built his following on TikTok through interactive challenges. For this campaign, he used a simple format: for every like, he listened to a song for one second live.
The idea was basic, but the execution was powerful, as it turned audience participation into a fundraising engine and helped transform a viral gimmick into a record-setting charity event.
