Industrial real estate developer 7R has signed a long-term lease agreement with discount retailer Pepco for more than 51,000 square metres of warehouse and office space at a new logistics centre being developed near Gdańsk.
The project, known as 7R Park Gdańsk V, will be located in Barniewice and will serve as Pepco’s sixth distribution centre in Europe, supporting the retailer’s continued expansion across the continent.
Pepco operates more than 4,100 stores across 18 European markets, offering clothing, home products and toys through a discount retail model. The company, which employs over 31,000 people is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2021.
The facility is being developed in a build-to-suit (BTS) format. Located just 2.5 kilometres from the S6 Tricity Metropolitan Bypass and 18 kilometres from the Baltic Hub container terminal in Gdańsk, the site offers direct access to key maritime, road and air transport infrastructure.
Its strategic position is further enhanced by proximity to the ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia, as well as Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport and its cargo terminal, situated approximately four kilometres away.
The development has been designed with sustainability objectives in mind and is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification. Planned environmental features include photovoltaic installations, LED lighting with DALI control systems, electric vehicle charging stations and energy-efficient building solutions.
