Polish fashion retailer LPP has strengthened its logistics network with the opening of a new 56,000-square-metre distribution centre near Bucharest, a strategic investment designed to support the rapid expansion of its retail brands across Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.
The facility, operated by LPP Logistics, is capable of handling approximately 35 million items and has been designed with future expansion in mind as the group accelerates the growth of its fastest-growing brand, Sinsay, across the region.
The launch also marks the completion of LPP’s logistics recovery following the fire that destroyed its previous Romanian warehouse last year, restoring and significantly expanding the company’s regional distribution capabilities.
Located near Bucharest and adjacent to the distribution centre inaugurated in November 2025, the new warehouse enables LPP Logistics to manage both store replenishment and e-commerce orders from a single location.
Capacity to double by 2027
The first phase of operations includes automated warehouse systems capable of preparing deliveries for 454 stores across the region. A second expansion phase, scheduled for early 2027, will increase capacity to approximately 900 stores, creating one of LPP’s largest logistics platforms in Southeast Europe.
The workforce is also expanding rapidly. The company expects the Romanian operation to employ more than 300 people by the end of this year, with additional recruitment planned alongside the warehouse expansion.
Sustainability at the core of the investment
The building incorporates wastewater recovery systems, energy-efficient LED lighting, advanced air and water treatment technologies and oil separation systems. Natural daylight has been integrated into the design to provide approximately 3.5% of the building’s lighting requirements, helping reduce overall energy consumption.
The facility has received an Energy Performance Certificate Class A and is currently undergoing BREEAM Outstanding certification, one of the highest internationally recognised standards for sustainable buildings.
